Karaoke Machines, Birthday Celebrations, and Coffee Galore
Hey, Chaos and Coffee fam! We un-leashed the most hated toy in our house-hold: the karaoke machine!
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend! We're gearing up for July 4th, and we’re ready for some fun!! 🎆
This past weekend was a blast. We celebrated Scarlett's birthday with Ariel on Saturday, and it was magical. The joy on her face was priceless! Sunday was all about Church and Brunch. Not gonna lie, Galvez Seafood's brunch was AMAZING, but definitely a bit pricier than our usual Sunday spots.
Looking ahead, this work week seems like a breeze since we're off Thursday and Friday. We just bought a water slide for Thursday, and I can already see the kids going absolutely wild!
As I sip my third cup of coffee this Monday morning, I'm feeling pumped and ready to tackle the week. Let's all kick butt and make this Monday awesome!
Stay caffeinated, my friends! ☕🎤

Colorado Sunburns & Ant Fears: A Fun-Filled Family Update
When I first created this blog, I was so in over my head! I had plans, made a content calendar, and was bursting with ambition. But when it came to execution, I fell short. There just aren't enough hours in the day to sit and type out my thoughts. My kids climbing all over me once I get home...WHEW, CHILD.
Just on the way home today, Sawyer was SCREAMING in the backseat for me to take his shoes off. My arms literally cannot reach that far behind me. This is a struggle. While he's complaining, ants are getting him! Any of your kids terrified of ants? I swear Sawyer has nightmares of them. It's so bad that even his teacher recognizes his fear of ants!
Wednesday was Scarlett's birthday, and the loudest singer was, of course, Sawyer. He's so proud. We enjoyed a ton of presents, even though she still has a party next week, and cupcakes. Even our cat Yonce enjoyed the cupcakes—whoops! I cannot believe she is 7 years old now.
This past weekend, we spent the most beautiful time in Colorado for my friend's wedding. It was absolutely breathtaking. The scenery was amazing, but oh boy, I got so sunburnt! Thankfully, my Day Dream Protective Lotion SPF 35 saved my face from burning. My chest, however, is a different story. At night, my Pillow Dream Moisturizer and Lip Peptide kept my lips so moisturized, which was a lifesaver because the dry skin there was no joke. My body isn't used to it!
Now that the weekend is here, we plan on spending every second with the kids because we missed them so much. There's a fun dinosaur exhibit at Lamar Dixon that we plan on taking the kids to. I have zero idea what to expect, but it looks so fun! On Sunday, we're going to church and then watching Inside Out 2. I'm not sure who's looking forward to the movie more: me, Dalton, or the kids.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Don't forget your SPF and moisturizers if you're heading out into the sun! 🌞

Our Jam-Packed Weekend
If you are anything like my family, your weekends are PACKED! I mean, plans on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. By Monday, my kids are worn out and so am I. Here’s a glimpse into our whirlwind weekend:
Friday: Late-Night Binge
Friday evening was pretty chill, except for my brilliant idea to stay up until 3 AM watching *The Perfect Match*! This second season is way better than the first—I couldn't even get through the first season. But this one had me hooked and binging way past my bedtime.
Saturday: Cleaning Marathon and Date Night
Saturday was all about cleaning. We swept, vacuumed, and mopped, but within ten minutes, toys and crumbs were everywhere again. My kids seem to leave a trail of chaos wherever they go. Thankfully, our wonderful babysitter arrived around 5:30 PM, giving Dalton and me the chance to escape for a nice dinner at Fleming's. I splurged on a pretty expensive bottle of wine, but hey, you only live once, right?
Sunday: Pool Day and Seafood Boil
Sunday, I was nursing a hangover from the wine, but Dalton was not about to let me rest. We spent the day at his parents’ pool, enjoying boiled shrimp and spaghetti. DELISH! My kids devoured the shrimp—we're lucky they love seafood as much as we do.
After a full day in the sun, the kids were ready for baths and bed. On the way home, they complained about how tired they were (shocking). I was also extremely tired, so I didn’t get ready for the week or pack for our Denver trip, and we leave on Wednesday!
Now it’s Monday. Time to kick ass and have a great week!
